DAMPING SYSTEMS FOR AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY.
Small parts. Big advantages.
TecsPak® bumpers and springs are construction elements for use in automobiles. These are rebound and compression elements in the chassis, which are individually developed and produced for a wide range of applications.
Rebound bumpers.
Traditional rebound bumpers are used in the chassis shock dampers to limit the stroke during expansion. TecsPak® rebound bumpers go above and beyond this. They absorb significantly more load compared to all the conventional materials such as rubber, PU (polyurethane) and steel springs. They are unbreakable and are extremely quiet, which makes for a much more enjoyable ride. TecsPak® rebound bumpers bridge the gap between pure (short) bumpers and long rebound springs, meaning they can be combined with a rebound springs. They demonstrate a progressive characteristic curve, high block stability and very good resistance to oil. Area of application: -40 °C to +120 °C.
Rebound springs.
Steel rebound springs are often used alongside bumpers. MöllerMiner’s TecsPak® rebound springs offer a real alternative. Manufactured from an elastomer, the TecsPak® rebound springs absorb higher loads and remain elastic even during total compression, preventing surges in force. When compared with steel springs, TecsPak® are smaller in height with an equivalent stroke, quieter and more resilient. They also demonstrate a progressive characteristic curve, high block stability and very good resistance to oil. Area of application: -40 °C to +120 °C.
COMPRESSION BUMPERS.
Compression bumpers are used in the chassis shock dampers to limit the stroke during compression. They also function as auxiliary springs. TecsPak® compression bumpers are perfect for this application. They demonstrate a gentle, harmonic and progressive characteristic curve, are more compact than conventional compression bumpers and springs, and can be incorporated in gaiters and safety caps. They are also very quiet, can bear heavier loads and are oil resistant. Area of application: -40 °C to +90 °C.
CUSTOM SOLUTIONS.
MöllerMiner develops and manufactures TecsPak® bumpers and springs that are tailored to meet the needs of our customers, regardless of whether they are chassis components or other damping applications in the vehicle, such as dampers for door hinges, lids or sliding doors. We endeavor to keep development times as short as possible, even if we are developing a new product.
